September 15th - Milo & Dixie from Kentucky!

 
We have two new members!!!

Meet Milo & Dixie!

Above is Milo and his sister Dixie below!

Milo is 6 years old. Dixie is 3! Milo was purchased from a breeder friend (a 9 hour round trip to pick him up wayyyy down in Western Kentucky past Paducah), Dixie was a rescue having been left by her owners in an empty rental with no food or water for several days. We are so happy that Shelle found them to give them love! Milo prefers to sit on his mommy's lap, wrapped in his red polar fleece blanket, while his mommy does computer 'things'.  He doesn't care what 'things' she does, as long as she lets him sit snuggled on her lap. Dixie prefers to be outside all day long on their screened in porch, sunbathing, catching an occasional fly that makes it through a crack in the screen, and barking at our neighbors! (The neighbors haven't figured out that the area is patrolled by a dachshund and they have no need to worry for their home or hearth!) The best part of every single day for them is getting some fresh green beans from the garden during their walk with mom, or having a bit of carrot with their dinner.  Oh Oh Oh and duck jerky... they both say Kentucky duck jerky is DIVINE!!! :D
