Dear Friends:
...THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS! We really appreciate all the emails,
prayers and support.
Our worst fears have been confirmed today. Our little Izzy does have
distemper. However, we do have HOPE and we need to continue to have
HOPE.
Our little girl is very alert, eating well, her pneumonia is going away,
white blood cells up, not diarrhea or vomiting. All in all Dr. Nissan is very
positive that if she continues in this direction she will overcome this. However,
we still have to HOPE & PRAY that this virus does not effect her neurologically.
If that happens.....
When we see her, we have to wear sterilized gowns and wash our hands before
and after we see her (so does each Nurse, etc. that comes in contact with her). She
comes in with her happy tail wagging, many kisses and lots of whining and squirming --
she can't get enough of us and we can't get enough of her. She is such a joy!
By the way, Izzabella means "God's Promise" and Leigh means "Delicate". I showed
her a video of Lucy the other day (she was "talking") she was so cute -- you could tell
she was watching it -- she kept turning her head from side to side.
Our continued prayer is that she is going to beat this and come home and be
a happy puppy. She is now staying at the Vet Hospital, Dr. Nissan cannot take her home anymore.
We really appreciate all of you -- we could not go through this without you!
Again, thank you for all your prayers.
Love,
Bob and Anita
