Mother's Day Scrapbook Layout

A day to Celebrate!

Ingredients:

• Pastel Power Palette 
• Swirly White ABC/123 Stickers
• Sweet Heart Maker
• Meadow Micro Maker
• Precision Point Adhesive
• Craft Knife

How to Create:
Using craft knife, slice into paper along line of blue design in upper left corner of background paper. Adhere vertical photo to page, first slipping upper left corner of photo under blue design.

Trim second photo to measure 4" x 3-3/4". Adhere to page. Cut piece of blue polka-dot patterned paper to measure 1-1/2" square. Cut in half diagonally using scissors. Cut notch out of straight edge of triangle, creating photo "corner". Lightly sand edges of this piece, then adhere to upper right corner of photo.

Cut blue polka-dot patterned paper to measure 4" x 2-1/4". Lightly sand edges of this piece, then adhere below smaller photo. Add journaling and doodling to this piece.

Using Friendship Micro Maker, punch flower shape from each yellow and blue paper. Lightly sand edges of shapes, then adhere to page. Using Meadow Micro Maker, punch flower shape from yellow paper. Adhere to center of blue flower, then add dot to center of this flower. Hand cut small circle shape from blue paper. Adhere to yellow flower.

Adhere title stickers above and below photo block.

Adhere large decorative green icon sticker to page using foam squares. Adhere letter stickers to icon sticker.

Using Sweet Heart Maker, punch heart shapes from blue paper. Lightly sand edges of smaller heart shape, then adhere to green icon sticker. Punch flower shape from yellow paper using Meadow Micro Maker, then adhere to green icon shape. Add dot to center of flower shape.

Add two icon circle stickers to upper left corner of page to finish.

Military Digital Kit Scrapbooking Layout Idea

  

Ingredients:

• StoryBook Creator Plus 3.0
• Military Digital Kit
• Font:  High Strung Font, Typewriter Font, Army Font

Ingredients (Canada):

• Military Digital Kit
• Font: High Strung Font, Typewriter Font, Army Font

How to Create:

1. Create a new 12x12 layout. Insert Military paper 8 from the as your background.
2. Add a 12”x 6” rectangle cut from Military paper #12 to the center of the page. Go to the cut and fill tab and add a classic decorative edge with the straight cut/shaped edge button. 
3. Add a 12”x 4 3/4" rectangle cut from Military paper #6 to the top of the layout. 
   Add a 5”x 5” square cut from Military paper #8 to lower left side of layout. Use the Cut and Fill Tab to add a torn bottom to the paper. 
4. Add a 12”x 1 1/2" strip cut from Military paper #1 across seam between Military paper #6 and #12. 
5. Add an 8 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangle cut from Military paper #11 to middle right side of layout. 
6. Add a 7”x 5” rectangle cut from Military paper #7 on top of Paper #11. 
7. Add Blue Twill Ribbon across layout. Hold down the shift button and slightly stretch the blue twill ribbon to be a bit wider. 
8. Add large photo at 5 1/2" x 3 3/4" Add photo frame, stretching to cover photo. 
9. Add two smaller photos at 2 1/3”x 3 1/3” Add a #3 sized mat to each smaller photo, filling the mat with a large rectangle from Military paper #8. 
10. Add Bronze Star emblems to upper left and lower right sides of layout. Use arrange tab to size them the same and arrange in an even row. 
11. Add USA and Tan patches to layout. 
12. Rubber stamp Helicopter image in light tan color with the “noisy” pattern and light coverage in the upper left side of the layout. 
13. Add sub-title in light blue with High Strung Font. Add Title in light tan with Army Font. Right click title and select “Rubber Stamp.” Delete the old title and use new rubber stamped title instead. 
14. Add journaling in black with Typewriter font to the lined paper on the lower left side of layout. Add a drop shadow to everything except journaling.

Glory of Easter Scrapbook Layout Idea

Ingredients:

• StoryBook Creator Plus 3.0 (also available in MAC format)
• Glory of Easter Digital Additions for PC
• Font:  a red bucket

How to Create:

1. Start with a new 12x12 digital blank page project. 
2. Choose “Glory of Easter P4” paper and set it as the background.
3. Drag and drop “Glory of Easter P1” paper onto your layout. Under the “Cut & Fill” tab click on “Straight” – “Shaped edge” select   “Punched arch.” Make aspect ratio 7 and spacing 0. Drag shaded section on layout to edge of paper to be cut. Click on “Erase the shaded area.” Repeat the same steps to cut the other edge of your paper. Under the “Format” tab select the bottom right square under “Light shadows.” Arrange as shown.
4. Drag and drop “Glory of Easter P4” paper onto your layout. Under the “Cut & Fill” tab click on “Straight” – “Paper rip” under Rip type chose “Rough rip” and make Rip reveal 0.2 and Rip irregularity 1. Drag shaded area to edge of paper. Click on “Erase the shaded area.” Repeat the same steps to the other edge of the paper. Under the “Format” tab select the bottom right square under “Light shadows.” Arrange as shown.
5. Drag three photos to your layout and make the width of each 3 inches. Under the “Format Photos” tab click on “Mat” and make the Width 1. Click “Accept.” Under the “Format” tab select the bottom right square under “Heavy shadows.” Repeat these steps for the remaining photos. Arrange as shown.
6. In the Embellishments drag and drop “For God” and arrange as shown.
7. In the Embellishments drag and drop “Rabbit” and arrange as shown.
8. In the Embellishments drag and drop “glory of Easter” and arrange as shown.
9. In the Embellishments drag and drop “Glory of Easter PM3” to your layout. Under the “Cut & Fill” tab click on “Shapes” - “Geometric” -  “Tag 1” and adjust the shaded area so that it covers your paper. Click on “Invert the shaded area.” With your “Glory of Easter PM3” paper selected that you just cut, click on the “Cut & Fill” tab – “Ellipse” – “Make Circle” and adjust on shape desired area. Click “Erase shaded area” and arrange as shown. Under the “Format” tab select the bottom right square under “Heavy shadows.” Repeat to make the same shape in the “Glory of Easter PM7” paper.
10. Under the “Insert” tab click on “Text” -  “Place and empty text box on page” and adjust the shaded text box on your layout to fit inside the tag. Click “Create.” Double click inside the text box and journal.
11. In the Embellishments drag and drop “Eggs” and arrange as shown.

Garden Sunset Scrapbook Layout

Garden Sunset Scrapbook Layout Idea

• Garden Sunset & Tranquility Content Collection CD included in the following Collections:  12x12 StoryBook DigitalDesigner Diva Collection and the 11x8.5 StoryBook Digital Designer Diva Collection shown on page 189 of the Spring/Summer 2011 Catalog.
• Font:  Freestyle Script

How to Create:

1. Start with a new 12x12 digital blank page project.
2. Select the “Garden Sunset P3” paper and click “make background”
   Add vertical photo. Right click > “Properties.” Set width to 4.5 inches, making sure “Lock aspect ratio” box is checked. Select “OK.”
3. Add 2 horizontal photos. Right click - “Properties.” Set width to 4.5 inches, making sure “Lock aspect ratio” box is checked. Select “OK.” Repeat to the other horizontal photo.
   Select photo. Under the “Format Photos” tab select “Mat” > Click “Change mat fill” - “Select a paper fill” Under “Step 1: Select a paper” select the “Garden Sunset Digital Kit” from the drop menu.  Click on “Garden Sunset P13” then click “OK.” Make the width of the mat 3 and click on “Accept.” Under the “Format” tab click on “Shadow” and select the bottom right square under the “Heavy shadows” section.  Repeat this step for each of the remaining photos. Arrange photos as shown.
4. Drag and drop “Garden Sunset P7” to the bottom of the layout. Under the “Cut & Fill” tab click on “Straight” and select “Shaped edge” from the menu. Click the Shape box and from the drop menu click on “Edge Cutters” then select “Punched arch.”  Set the Aspect ratio to 7 and Spacing 0. On layout adjust cut so the shaded region is at the bottom. Click “Invert the shaded area” then click on “Erase the shaded area.” Under the “Format” tab click on “Shadow” and select the middle square under the “Light shadows” section. Arrange as shown.
5. Drag and drop “Garden Sunset P5” to the bottom of the layout. Under the “Cut & Fill” tab click on “Straight” and select “Paper rip.” Under “Rip type” select “Wavy edges.” Set both “Rip reveal” and “Rip irregularity” to 0.5. On layout adjust so that the shaded region is at the bottom. Click “Invert the shaded area” then click on “Erase the shaded area.”  Under the “Format” tab click on “Shadow” and select the top middle square under the “Heavy shadows” section. Arrange as shown.
   Drag and drop “Garden Sunset P13” to the bottom of the layout. Under the “Cut & Fill” tab click on “Straight” and select “Straight edge.” On layout adjust the cut until desired width is out of the shaded region. Click on “Erase shaded area.”  Under the “Format” tab click on “Shadow” and select the middle square under the “Light shadows” section. Arrange as shown.
6. Repeat above step to cut strips of “Garden Sunset P13” “Garden Sunset P20” and “Garden Sunset P5.” Arrange as shown. In the Embellishments section drag and drop “glitter leaves”  “paper flower 1” “ribbon flower” and “paper flower 2” size and arrange as shown.  Under the “Format” tab click on “Shadow” and select the top middle square under the “Heavy shadows” section for each embellishment.
7. Under the “Insert” tab click on “Fancy” > “Select a different alpha set.”  Select “Garden Sunset Digital Alpha Set” from the drop menu. Click on the image. Click again on “Fancy” - “Place alpha set text on page” type your title in the box and click “Create.” Under the “Format” tab click on “Shadow” and select the top middle square under the “Heavy shadows” section.  Arrange as shown.
   From the Embellishments drag and drop “journal block 1.” Under the “Format” tab click on “Shadow” and select the top middle square under the “Heavy shadows” section and arrange as shown.  Under the “Insert” tab click on “Text” - “Place and empty text box on page” and create text box on layout. Click “Create.” Double click on text box and journal. Highlight all text. Under the “Format Text” tab select the “Freestyle Script” font, size 22 and color black.

Mother's Day Scrapbook Layout

• How to Create:

1. Start with a new 12x12 digital blank page project.
2. Select “Paper4” paper and click “make background”
3. Drag and drop photos onto layout. With all photos selected, go to the “Color” tab and click on “Black & White.” Under the “Format Photos” tab select “Mat” - Click “Change mat fill” - “Select a paper fill” Under “Step 1: Select a paper” select the “Romance Digital Power Palette” from the drop menu.  Click on “Paper1” then adjust the box so that only pink area is selected.  Click “OK.” Make the width of the mat 3 and click on “Accept.”  Under the “Format” tab click on “Shadow” and select the bottom right square under the “Heavy shadows” section.  Repeat this step for each of the remaining photos.  Arrange as show.
4. Drag and drop “Paper9” to the right side of your layout. Under the “Cut & Fill” tab click on “Straight” and select “Straight edge.” On layout adjust the cut until desired width is out of the shaded region. Click on “Erase shaded area.” Under the “Format” tab click on “Shadow” and select the bottom right square under the “Heavy shadows.” Arrange as shown. 
5. Drag and drop “Paper3” to the right edge of your layout. Under the “Cut & Fill” tab click on “Straight” and select “Shaped edge” from the menu. Click the Shape box and from the drop menu click on “Edge Cutters” then select “Classic.”  Set the Aspect ratio to 100 and Spacing 0. Click on “Invert the shaded area.” On layout adjust cut to desired width. Click on “Erase the shaded area.” Under the “Format” tab click on “Shadow” and select the bottom right square under the “Heavy shadows.” Arrange as shown.
6. In the Embellishments drag and drop “Flowers” top your layout Adjust size and arrange as shown. Under the “Format” tab click on “Shadow” and select the bottom right square under the “Heavy shadows.”
7. In the Embellishments drag and drop “Tag6” to your layout. Adjust size and arrange as shown. Under the “Format” tab click on “Shadow” and select the bottom right square under the “Heavy shadows.”
8. Under the “Insert” tab click on “Text”  - “Place and empty text box on page” and create text box on layout. Click “Create.” Double click on text box and journal. Highlight all text. Under the “Format Text” tab select the “Mistral” font, size 28. With text highlighted click on the color box in the “Format Text” tab - click on “Sample color”  - click the eyedropper tool on the brown in the “Tag6” embellishment. Click “OK.” 
9. Under the “Insert” tab click on “Text” > “Place and empty text box on page” and create text box on top of layout. Click “Create.” Double click on text box and type the title. Highlight all text. Under the “Format Text” tab select the “Mistral” font, size 108. With text highlighted click on the color box in the “Format Text” tab - click on “Sample color” - click the eyedropper tool on the brown in the “Tag6” embellishment. Click “OK.” Under the “Format” tab click on “Shadow” and select the bottom right square under the “Light shadows.”
